Crayon Melting Project

A while ago on Tumblr, i discovered this really interesting artwork. It's called "Crayon Melting". It's pretty simple and the results are fantastic! It is almost impossible to mess up. I decided i would make a tutorial over how to create it, so all of my two followers can witness the steps and see how easy it is; even though they're my cousins and are already well aware on how to do this. Oh well :) Hope you enjoy this fun craft!

You'll need a canvas and four packs of crayons (depending on the size canvas). I only used the blue ones, however if you decide to make a rainbow one you won't need near as many packs of crayons. Line each crayon up side by side. Don't let there be too much, if any, space between. Hot glue them down to the canvas. You can put them in a pattern, as i did, and the colors will come out extraordinary.

I decided to add something a little more just to give it character. If you choose to do this step, all you will need is colored construction paper of your choice. I chose black and red to act as a silhouette. I hot glued the girl down to the canvas, however it makes the paper look wavy. You may like the outcome more if you use a different type of glue. Now, all you have to do is find something to keep the crayon wax from flowing over the construction paper figure. It can be pretty complicated; it takes patience. Next, get a hair dryer and begin drying the crayons in a downward motion. You will definitely want to put something around the canvas to protect floors or walls from being splattered. I didn't use anything because i prepared my project on an easel. The crayons still, however, went all over the place. Just be super careful for your belongings' sake. When you begin melting the crayons, stick to drying the pointed end of the crayons.

These are my results. Not too shabby for a first time experiment. It only takes about ten minutes to finish your creation. I would recommend for a first timer to try out the single crayon melting; without the figure silhouette. There's less steps and more convenience. It was a lot of fun in the making of this, i'm going to do another one of these for sure! Try it out :)

Blogsphere?

I have an Autistic cousin named Brandon. He knows just about everything about everything. I have never met a smarter little boy. Today, he asked to look through my blog. He then said, "I guess you're a part of the Blogsphere now!"

So yeah, I'm now part of the "Blogsphere". Greetings.

Valentine's Banquet ♡

Last night, the GCPC youth served at our Valentine's Banquet. Of course my clumsy self couldn't carry food and drinks from table to table so Katelyn and i were in charge of raffle tickets! I was supposed to serve a table, but i'm guessing Brock had me covered. Thanks Broccoli! We all had a lot of fun. Pretty much the entire youth group helped out. I only had one spill all night! Not counting the time i scooped butter out of a tub and down my shirt... but besides that. They played a video in the end focused on couples. One of the questions was asking what you love the most. Just about everyone would say "God, Jesus, Family, Spouse, Friends, and so on". Clint, however said Alabama football. Typical. Most of us just goofed off the entire time. At one point, i was labeled the "Butter Bouncer". Since i was too lazy to do anything, i was guarded the butter and sour cream. Ya know, to make sure no mischief occurred. We also had a candle incident that was very interesting. The banquet was so amazing, all of the couples were definitely having a fantabulous time. The whole night was a success.

Bedazzled Lips!

We have way too much time on our hands.
Lyndsey and I found this pin on Pinterest of jeweled lips, and we decided to try it out!
If you want to be a cool cat like us, all you have to do is take lipgloss (the gooier the better), put a thick coat on your lips and add fingernail jewels. Just to warn you, it's very time consuming. Especially if you are a perfectionist like me. I'm not real sure what the point of this is, but it's fun so do it!

Lose 5lbs in 7 days.

I was a cheerleader for over 3 years, but i never seemed to slim down. I might have gained muscle but i still wasn't at the point where i was comfortable enough just to take a walk down the beach in a bikini. How am i going to make that change? Well, i'm a hardcore pinner on Pinterest, and i came across this 'diet'. However, it's not really a diet at all. You don't have to change anything you eat. It's totally healthy! So i decided to try it out. "It helps flush out excess water weight you have carrying around in your body and... you could lose more than 5 pounds in 7 days depending on how much excess water weight you have carrying around."

Jillian Michaels recipe for losing 5 pounds in 7 days...

- Get 60 ounces of distilled or pure water
- Add a tablespoon of sugar free cranberry juice
- Add 1 dandelion root tea bag
- Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

You drink the 60 ounces every day for 7 days.

Yes, after you get it all mixed together it looks like a lot to drink. I distribute each supplement into three different water bottles. That way i drink one after every meal. If you like lemonade, you will probably love it. I, personally, don't have a care in the world for lemonade so i am not lovin the taste. I just tell myself to fight through it so i will get the result i want.

When i was looking up the way to mix this drink, i couldn't find anything. I simply took the distilled water and the dandelion root tea bag and prepared it in a coffee maker, you can also boil it on the stove, and added 1 tablespoon of sugar free cranberry juice and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice when it was finished. I refrigerate my bottles of this drink, however it does not call for it.

Enjoy!

The Can-Canning Experience.

After church today, some of us went to "The Brother's" birthday party at Joe's Crab Shack in Nashville. Papa, David, Phillip, Aunt Sabine, Aunt Faye, Nanny, Brock and I all attended. Right before we left, our waiter made the brothers go up to the front of the restaurant. A waitress joined them, and they all began can-canning. Now, if you've never can-canned, you have to be very coordinated. Not just anyone has the serious skill to move their feet this way. The brothers, however, are obviously highly capable. They look like some Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders up there! We all had an absofreakinlutely great time. Brock and I celebrated with some yummy chocolate cake!
